Adding and Editing Points on Your Map

IGNIS provides a powerful, user-friendly platform for capturing critical field data, ensuring teams stay aligned and informed. Whether marking hazards, control points, or safety zones, points follow fire-specific symbology standards for clear communication in high-pressure situations. This guide covers how to add and edit points to fit operational needs.
 

How to Add a Point:

  1. At the bottom of the home screen, tap the "Add" button.
  2. Select the type of point you'd like to place (this can be edited later).
  3. On the next screen, drag your finger across the map to change the point's location. Use two fingers to zoom in and out.
  4. After choosing where to place the point, tap the text box to change its name.
  5. Next, add a description or change the symbology by tapping the blue pencil icon.

  7. Tap "Done" to save the point.

To edit the point, tap on it from the home screen again, and choose "Edit" in the upper left-hand corner.

The edit menu will be displayed. Make your changes and then tap "Done."
