How Do I Draw a Line on the Map?

Drawing a line in IGNIS is simple and intuitive, setting it apart from other GPS apps with its unique fire-specific symbology. This feature empowers you to create your own detailed Incident Map with ease!

Follow these steps to draw a line in IGNIS:

1. From the home screen, click the red button on the right-hand side.
2. The "Add a line" screen will appear. Choose "Draw."
3. Use two fingers to maneuver the screen or zoom in and out.
4. Tap the screen with one finger to place the start of the line.
5. Continue placing segments of the line by tapping with one finger.
6. If you misplace a point, simply hit the "Undo" button.
7. When you're done building the line, tap "Done" in the upper right corner.
8. You'll be prompted to name the line. Click the text box to change the auto-filled name.
9. To change the line type to fire-specific symbology, click the circular blue pencil icon.
10. Explore the different line types, choose the best one, and you'll be brought back to the line edit screen.
11. Tap “Done” in the upper right-hand corner.
